How to wash our garments for long-lasting usability

We know that feeling when you put on a brand new garment. It’s as good as it will ever get. We know that fear most have right before they wash that garment for the first time. “Will it shrink?” “Will it fade?” “Will it ever be the same again?” We know you probably won’t pay those wash care symbols on our tag any mind. We also know that some of our customers may not know exactly what they mean. We know. We have some solutions and we’ll share a secret or two. Follow these steps and you can preserve the life of our (and almost any of your other) machine washable garments.

Washing
  • You probably know this one but hey, separate your clothing.
  • Use a color safe liquid detergent on coloreds and darks, powder tends to fade and leave traces of detergent behind
  • Don’t bleach your whites! It seems like bleach will help but in fact, over time it will turn you whites off white, cream, or even yellow
Now here’s the good stuff you’ve been waiting for.
  • Set your washer to delicate or hand wash
  • 1 rinse! (Also delicate if you have the option)
  • Use the coldest temperature and add detergent
  • Don’t fill your washer with a lot of clothing
  • Be sure to only add garments that are similar and nonabrasive
  • Turn your garment inside out
  • Add your garment AFTER the water has filled
  • Let wash 🛁
Drying
  • Set your dryer to a low tumble and low heat temperature for hmm... 10-15mins
  • Turn your garment right side out
  • Dry
  • Take your garment out, it should be slightly damp
  • Turn it inside out (yes, again)
  • Hang or lay dry, no wire hangers!
  • Message us if you want to know why
